| 内容記述 | Yokyo-shu by Natsume Soseki consists of seven short stories: "London-tou", "Carlyle Hakubutsukan", "Maboroshi no Tate", "Koto no Sora-ne", "Ichi-ya", "Kairo-kou", and "Shumi no Iden". This paper examines the narrative techniques of each short story to elucidate that "Yokyo-shu" is a text that grapples with both the limitations and possibilities of first-person narration. Building on this, it demonstrates that "Yokyo-shu" symbolizes the shift in early Soseki's literature from the first-person to the third-person perspective. |
